Spring is almost here!

We are finally through with the snow and the mud (we hope). The Gypsies are shedding their winter coats! The mares are getting large as foaling time approaches. The stallion's attention is turning to mares!

We have sadly decided to sell our gorgeous, 5 year old appaloosa stallion, Blue Genes. He is a wonderful horse who really wants a bunch of mares to breed to! We will start using our palomino stallion this year, and we are not big enough to keep 2 stallions. Blue produces wonderful babies - take a look at his gorgeous girl, Misty, now living in California, Blueberry, now living in Florida, and his son, Copycat, who is a carbon copy of his dad. One more foal is on the way, out of our Strawberry. Blue was bred in the UK by Steve Downs. He is out of Steve's blue stallion and by Steve's awesome appy mare. Blue has the best head of any Gypsy horse I have ever seen, along with a short back, perfect legs, great bone, and a very sunny disposition. Blue is homozygous for black, heterozygous for gray, no bay, and no tobiano! He will throw black, gray, and appy only! The is a great opportunity for someone to breed Appaloosas!

It was a tough decision, but we have decided to geld our silver dapple stallion, Romano. . We believe he is the only silver dapple gelding in the United States. He has been started under saddle and harness. He will be 5 next year and is ready to take on any discipline you might want.
